New York Nets Team History

As one of two professional American football team located in the New York metropolitan area, the Jets compete in the American Football Conference (AFC) East division of the National Football League (NFL).

In fact, the Green Gang shares MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, with the New York Giants of the NFL’s National Football Conference (NFC).

First of all, the New York Jets were founded in 1959 as the Titans of New York. Furthermore, they were a charter member of the American Football League (AFL). Finally, the team joined NFL when the two leagues merged in 1970.

After the Jets advanced to the playoffs for the first time in 1968, they went on to compete in Super Bowl III. Most noteworthy, they defeated the Baltimore Colts. In fact, this was the Jets’ only Super Bowl appearance.

While, the New York Jets have appeared in the playoffs 13 times since 1968, they they have won the AFC East Championship four times. Although they won the championship in 2010, they lost losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Best New York Jets Bars in the Big Apple

Because of the large number of sports bars in New York, this list has to be highly selective. Furthermore, it has to be a bit arbitrary.

In fact, you could walk into any neighborhood bar in the five boroughs of New York City and find the Jets on television come Sunday. On the other hand, it might be showing the Giants.

But interestingly, my research indicates that at least two of the top sports bars for New York Jets fans are not even located in the Big Apple. Can you guess where they are?

Not only to bars sometimes close, fans also sometimes migrate to other establishments. Similarly, bars also sometimes decide to broadcast other events. Therefore,  make sure to call ahead to make sure the bar will be showing the game you want to watch.

Furthermore, how many TV screens are there? In addition, How big are they? Finally, are they visible throughout the bar?

In the same vein, what is the quality of the sound? Above all, is the sound turned on? Not only that, some bars show games, but they don’t turn on the sound. Or the sound is set so low you can hardly hear it. Certainly, that can be a big disappointment.

Furthermore, how is the food? For examle, is there New York style pizza? And what about Coney Island red hots? On the other hand, what about the service? In short, would you recommend the bar to other New York Jets fans?

Most importantly, please let me know if any of these Jets watch bars have closed. Either that, or if Jets fans are no longer watching Jets games at them.
