Asian Easter Sunday Eating Out Guide

The Radisson Hotel Bangkok Sathorn is offering stressed out Bangkokians a chance to forget their cares in comfortable surroundings with a laid back afternoon of culinary excitement on Easter Sunday.

Overlooking the urban resort's gorgeous outdoor swimming pool and beautifully landscaped grounds, 100° East will offer an Easter Sunday Buffet featuring salads, antipasto, Japanese selections, seafood specials, crustacean hot chaffers, Western plates, Asian tagine, dim sum, foie gras, carbed meats, and pasta culinary stations, a chocolate fountain, and dessert corners.

Wash it all down with a sparkling wine buffet with up to six wine selections and special Easter cocktails.

Kids eat for free (they must be under 110 cm. in height, with one paying adult for each kid) at a special Children's Buffet with Kids Cocktails. They can participate in activities at dedicated kids sections such as a Pet Zoo, Crayon Corners, and Fun with the Clowns. Dine indoors or outdoors by the pool.

From 11:30 am to 2:30 pm Hotels around the region have similar Easter packages planned. Here is a sampling of what is on offer.

Beijing Hilton Beijing One East A sumptuous Easter Sunday lunch is on offer from 12 noon to 3 pm at the Hilton's American restaurant, One East. Feast on a wide variety of starters and soups, followed by roast lamb as well as roast rib of beef served at your table. Top things off with a yummy selection of desserts including Easter Pavlova and cream sour cherry pie.

A wine buffet is available at an extra charge.

Hong Kong Island Shangri-La Hong Kong A variety of gourmet dining options is on offer at the Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong. Included is an eight course dinner, lunch, tea, and dinner buffets, set teas, and an Easter egg hunt, which begins on Easter Sunday at 3 pm on the terrace outside the Lobster Bar and Grill on level six.

Macau Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 There are two options for Easter at the Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16. The first is a French and Mediterranean inspired buffet lunch at Mistral. Served from 12 noon to 3 pm, the Easter lunch buffet is free for kids under 12 (at least one adult per child to qualify).The second is BBQ or a light meal at Le Terrace, which overlooks the pool.

Taipei Hotel Eclat Easter Sunday just happens to be Mother's Day in Taiwan – yes, it is celebrated on different days in different parts of the world. So why not treat your dear of Mum to a special Mother's Day menu together with a Ferragamo toiletry set and a box of Godiva chocolates? If she favours Western cuisine, take her to the Eclat Lounge.
