Reader Feedback on My Shanghai Adventure

Altogether I spent three nights in Shanghai, followed by another two at a suburban resort about one hour’s drive out of the city.

Before I continue with my adventures, however, I would like to share with you some of the comments I have been receiving from readers. They come from Shanghai itself, Hong Kong, and the United States.

I would love to hear your comments on Shanghai. Names will only be published with your permission.

The hotel Jazz Bar looks like the perfect setting for listening to Jazz. I cannot imagine any other kind of music being played in that room.

I definitely want to put this hotel on my must see list for Shanghai! Great update! Please keep them coming!

I’m enjoying the posts on the Peace Hotel.  I remember going there, but didn’t know much about the history of it.

And, now I finally know how to pronounce Bund.  I thought it was German.

Accidental Travel Writer responds:

Yes, I’ve stumbled over the pronunciation of “the Bund” for years. Now we both know how to pronounce it – and what it means!.

Nice blog. I’m really glad you enjoyed the Theo Crocker quartet. Like you, I’m really not into jazz, but thought those guys were great, especially the drummer.

Best,

Accidental Travel Writer responds:

My favourite was the guy on the trumpet. I loved the way he would stand up when someone else was playing, wait for that one perfect moment, play two or four notes, and then sit back down again. Too cool for words!

Accidental Travel Writer responds:

Keep reading! The restaurant in the yet to open Swatch Art Peace Hotel is offering a very good value set lunch, which you should definitely check out while you are in Shanghai. I’ll do a post on it before your trip with more details.
