Garuda Indonesia, the national flag carrier of Indonesia, has launched daily flights linking Hong Kong with Bali, Indonesia, one of the most popular resort destinations for expatriates living in Hong Kong.
Boeing’s next generation 737-800s are operated on the route. The airline also links Hong Kong with Jakarta, the nation’s capital, twice daily. Airbus A330-200s are used on this route.
Bali is also popular with travelers from Australia, India, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea. It has also been discovered in recent years by travelers from China, who have just recently started to travel abroad in large numbers.
Package Tours
Garuda Orient Holidays (GOH) has been launched by Garuda to boost the tourism industry from Southern China and Taiwan through its Hong Kong base.
Tours will focus on eco-tourism, adventure, special interest, and cultural attractions for the premium market. They will be managed locally by Aerowisata, a subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia.
“As Garuda undergoes an historic transformation and modernisation, our new package tour operation is committed to supporting both Indonesian tourism and this new era for the airline,” says Garuda Indonesia Executive Vice President Marketing and Sales Mr. Muhammad Arif Wibowo.
In addition to its rich and fasincating culture, Bali has fabulous hotels and resorts, wonderful restaurants and cafes, excellent day spas, marvelous shopping, and a host of entertainment and sports venues and activities.
GOH branches have already been established in Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, and Japan.
