Press Trip Part 1
Travel Writers from Hong Kong and Singapore are flown Business Class by Qatar Airways on its inaugural flight to Zagreb, Croatia. Will the airline’s famous Business Class live up to expectations?
I’m flying Business Class from Hong Kong to Doha, Qatar, changing planes at the airline’s hub, and then continuing on to Zagreb, Croatia, by way of Budapest, Hungary, on Economy Class (groan).
The entire trip is going to take something like 15 or 16 hours!
Zagreb, by the way, is the newest destination in Qatar Airways growing global network, and I hadn’t even heard of the place before being invited on this trip.
So I will not only get to experience the airline’s on the ground and in flight service, I will also get to check out a part of the world I’ve never been to before.
Up Close and Personal
It’s one thing to read about something in a press release or hear about it at a press conference.
But the only way to really find out is to actually experience it yourself, and I can’t wait to find out if everything I’ve been hearing about Business Class on Qatar Airways is really true.
For the second year in a row, readers of the Middle Eastern edition of Business Traveller magazine have named Qatar Airways Business Class the Best Business Class in the World.
Readers of Business Traveller rated airlines by their in flight service, cabin comfort, ground hospitality, and product offerings.
In Flight Service
Qatar Airways scored well for the pitch of its seats (78 inches) and full flat beds on long haul Boeing 777 aircraft.
Oryx Multiplex interactive entertainment systems with more than 1,000 audio and video options also proved popular.
So please stay tuned. I will give my verdict after I return to Hong Kong next week.
