Best NFL Team Watch Bars

The Kansas City Chiefs will face the New England Patriots in the NFL championships on 20 January. If you can’t watch the game in person, here are the best bars to watch the game in Kansas, Missouri, and others parts of the country.

The first seed Kansas City Chiefs  have advanced to the American Football Conference (AFC) championship round after defeating the sixth seed Indianapolis Colts by a commanding score of 31 to 13 in the AFC divisional round of the 2018 National Football League (NFL) season.

This is the first time the Chiefs will play in an AFC championship game in fully 25 years, and Chiefs fans are clearly pumped up!

The Chiefs will face the formidable New England Patriots, who defeated the K.C. at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City,  Missouri, by a close score of 43 to 40 in week six of the regular football season.

The matchup between the Chiefs and the Patriots will be held at Gilette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, where the Patriots have a commanding home field advantage.

The winner of the game will advance to the Super Bowl 53, which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday 3 February at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

What’s at Stake …

Finishing the regular reason first place in the AFC West with a 12 and 4 record, the Kansas City Chiefs have the NFL’s best offense this season.

The Chefs have, however, never beat Indianapolis in the playoffs, having lost to the Colts four times to zero in post-season play.

Can the Chefs break this losing streak against the Colts this year?

If the Chiefs beat the Colts, they will move on to the AFC conference championship game on 20 January.

Brief History of the Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs play in the Western Division of the American Football Conference of the National Football League.

Founded by Lamar Hunt in 1960 as the Dallas Texans, they were a charter member of the American Football League (AFL).

In 1963, the team relocated to Kansas City, Missouri, and assumed its current name.

The Kansas City Chiefs joined the NFL during the AFL–NFL merger of 1970.

The Kansas City Chiefs won three championships from 1960 to 1969. The Kansas City Chiefs were the second AFL team (after the New York Jets) to defeat an NFL franchise when they defeated the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV on 11 January 1970.

The Kansas City Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium, reputedly the noisiest stadium in the country (but don’t tell that to Seattle Seahawks fans).

Located on 1 Arrowhead Drive in Kansas City, Missouri, the stadium seats 76,416 people. It is one of the few football stadiums in the country that has not been renamed after a corporate sponsor.

If you can’t attend the game at Arrowhead Stadium – or the Chefs are playing out of town – why not root for the team in the comfy confines of a sports bar in the company of like-minded football fans?
