UPDATED FOR THE 2021 NFL SEASON!

Carolina Panthers Overview

The  Carolina Panthers are an American football team. And they compete in the Douth Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) of the National Football League (NFL)

Carolina Panthers Team History

The Carolina Panthers joined the NFL in 1993 as the football league’s 29th franchise. The American football team began play in 1995.

The Carolina Panthers play home games at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Panthers are one of the few NFL teams that own the stadium they play in. If you can’t make it to the game, why not root for the team in the comfy confines of a sports bar?

Since they were founded in 1995, the Carolina Panthers have made only one trip to the Super Bowl. However, what a trip it was! Super Bowl XXXVIII is considered by many to be the greatest Super Bowl game of all time.

However, more memorable, than the game is what happened during halftime. Played in Houston, Texas, on 1 February 2004, the game was both exciting and well played. Unfortunately, the Carolina Panthers lost to the New England Patriots. The score was 29 to 32.

Performing during the halftime show, songstress Janet Jackson suffered a “wardrobe malfunction”. It led to a broadcasting crackdown against indecency by the United States Federal Communications Commission.

The Carolina Panthers are a member of the South Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) of the National Football League (NFL).

As the Carolina Panthers, the football team draws fan support from across the Carolinas, as the following list of sports bars demonstrates.

There are many sports bars in North and South Carolina friendly to Panthers fans.
