Bali: Coastal Boutique Resort Launches 10 Bedroom Villa

Hospitality

Measuring in at 5,250 square metres, Soori Estate is the largest villa of its kind along the Southwestern coast of Bali. It is suitable for weddings, family getaways, exclusive group retreats, and other lavish celebrations.

The 10 bedroom villa is part of the luxurious boutique resort Alila Villas Soori Bali, where I spent two nights in November 2012 (for my review of the hotel, please click on the following link: Travelogue: Off the Beaten Track with Flawless Internet).

All of the spacious villa’s 10 bedrooms are elevated, offering uninterrupted views of the beach – AND the Indian Ocean. There are two master bedrooms with adjoining suites on the upper level. The other six bedrooms are located on the ground level.

Together, the 10 bedrooms can comfortably accommodate up to 20 adults. The entire resort can sleep up to 200 guests. Imagine the possibilities for weddings, corporate getaways, family reunions, and incentives.

Off the Beaten Tourism Track

Alila Villas Soori Bali is tucked away in a part of Bali that is still relatively untouched by tourism (for more on my impressions of West Bali, please click on the following link: Travelogue: West Bali, Where Time Has Almost Stood Still).

The secluded location not only offers unparalleled privacy, it also allows for endless possibilities for live entertainment and other kinds of activities: fireworks, traditional Indonesian dances, performing artists, and lessons in local customs, arts, and crafts (for more on my experience learning how to make salt, please click on the following link: Travelogue: How to Make Salt the Traditional Balinese Way).

And while the press release doesn’t mention this, I happen to know that you can reach the place by helicopter. There is a large open space where choppers can land, and it can also double as a venue for outdoor activities of all types.

Food and Beverage

Needless to say, Alila Villas Soori Bali has great food and beverage outlets with mouth watering cuisine, a fabulous spa, excellent meeting and conference facilities, a beachfront infinity pool where I did lots of laps – the list goes on.

And if you tire of all that five star luxury, you can always wander off down the beach (as I did on my second night) and rub shoulders with the locals (for more on one of my best – and cheapest! – meals in Bali, please click on the following link: Travelogue: Where to Savour Mouth Watering Nasi Goreng ).

In addition, Alila Villas Soori Bali has a dedicated personal wedding concierge that can provide assistance with all requests during a couple’s planning process and to assist with ideas.
