Soaring demand for travel between Kenya and Mozambique has prompted Kenya Airways to add a fourth flight on the Nairobi – Maputo route. The enhanced service will commence on 10 June 2013.
“There is increasing demand for air travel in the continent, which makes Africa the new growth frontier in the aviation industry,” says Kenya Airways’ Chief Executive Officer Dr. Titus Naikuni
“It is, therefore, important for us to continue to grow our presence across the continent to meet this demand.
Kenya Airways launched service from Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, to Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, in 2006.
Nampula, Mozambique; Luanda, Angola; Harare, Zimbabwe; Lilongwe, Malawi; Gaborone, Botswana; and Johannesburg, South Africa; as well as Ndola and Lusaka in Zambia are among the other Southern African travel destinations served from Nairobi by Kenya Airways.
I had the pleasure of flying Kenya Airways from Hong Kong to Bangkok, Thailand, a couple of years back, and the in flight service was outstanding! It is the only time I have ever flown economy class and been served dinner course by course!
