The Sir Francis Drake is offering 25% off on a three-night getaway “Passport to San Francisco” package. Perks include two passports providing unlimited access to public transport – including the city’s legendary cable cars.
Complimentary daily breakfast – at the hotel restaurant or in your room – a photo taken of you on a San Francisco cable car and travel tips are also included in the package. Valid until 2 September 2013.
One of San Francisco’s oldest hotels, the Sir Francis Drake is located atop Nob Hill. It recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation, which added all of the requisite mod-coms, while preserving the hotel’s 1920s roots.
On a personal note, my parents celebrated their first wedding anniversary in the hotel’s Starlight Room, which affords dramatic views of San Francisco Bay. Not that that means much today – except that the hotel has certainly been around for a while!
