US planemaker Boeing has delivered its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner to China Southern Airlines. China Southern is the first Chinese airline to take delivery of the technologically advanced airplane.
“Today’s 787 delivery represents a significant new milestone in the strengthening partnership between Boeing and China,” says Ray Conner, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
“We thank the Chinese government agencies, China Southern and all our Chinese customers, and suppliers for their support and contributions to the success of the Dreamliner programme.”
China Southern Airlines’ first 10 Boeing 787 Dreamlinesr will be deployed on domestic flights within China.
The Dreamliner will then be utlized on long-haul flights international travel destinations. China Southern is the 10th customer worldwide to take delivery of the 787 Dreamliner.
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner features a host of technologies that provide exceptional value to airlines and unparalleled levels of comfort to passengers.
It is the first mid-size airplane capable of flying long-range routes, enabling airlines to launch non-stop routes that can’t support jumbo get payloads.
