Michelin Star Chef David Thompson of Australia will present a charity dinner at Paresa, one of Phuket’s most exclusive boutique resorts, in support of the Soi Dog Foundation on 14 June 2013.

All profits from the canine charity event will be donated to the Soi Dog Foundation, which helps homeless, neglected, and abused dogs and cats in Thailand.

The Soi Dog Foundation aims to set an example in Asia on how to humanely reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats through spaying and neutering. It also seeks to improve the lives and living conditions of stray dogs and feral cats.

“With particular world attention currently being focused on the illegal dog meat trade within South East Asia, it is an important time to help raise much funds and need for this organization to help in fighting this trade,” Paresa General Manager Scot Toon.

The Michelin Star Chef Dinner will be held at Paresa’s celebrated Diavolo restaurant, renowned for its calendar of gourmet events and its fine wine cellar, offering a spectacular 270-degree ocean view overlooking the Andaman Sea.
