Corporate Social Responsibity

Sixty students from schools affiliated with the Singapore Association for the Deaf and The Guardian Academy got up close and personal with soccer legend David Beckham as part of the Sands for Singapore Festival.

“In the spirit of the Sands for Singapore festival, Marina Bay Sands will be putting in its best efforts forward to give back to the local community in meaningful ways,” says George Tanasijevich, President and Chief Executive Officer of Marina Bay Sands.

“It is an honour to have David Beckham here to support our corporate social responsibility initiatives. We hope this is an invaluable experience that these students will take with them into the future.”

Sands for Singapore is an initiative of the Marina Bay Sands Singapore. An example of the integrated resort’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Sands for Singapore will run from 16 through 18 August 2012.

“This is a beautiful hotel, and Singapore is one of the most forward looking cities in the world,” says David.

“I’m honoured to be invited to the Marina Bay Sands and to launch this community sports initiative.”
