Dining and Nightlife

The hotel bar at The Langham, London, is serving a Royal Baby Cocktail in celebration of the Royal Birth. Dubbed the Royal Toast, it will set you back a cool £16.50. It will be served until 22 August 2013.

And I can assure you, this will only be the first of many special promotions to be launched by hotels, bars, pubs, and other businesses to cash in on the birth of HRH The Prince of Cambridge.

The Champagne based cocktail was created by International Bartender of the Year Alex Kratena, who combines Tapatio Tequila, cedar wood syrup, lemon juice, Peychaud's bitter, and Ruinart blanc de blancs.

World's Best Bar

The Artesian, as the bar is known, was voted “The World's Best Bar” by readers of Drinks International Magazine. Its name was inspired by a 365 foot deep well under the hotel, which originally supplied fresh water to hotel guests.

HRH The Prince of Wales, who went on to become King Edward VII, presided over the hotel's opening in 1865.
