Hong Kong: Tsui Hang Village Imports Hairy Crabs from Holland!

It’s hairy crab season, and chefs in Hong Kong are outdoing themselves to come up with mouth watering recipes to attract diners. Jacky Chan of Tsui Hang Village, for example, is importing wild hairy crabs from the Netherlands!

Every fall, hairy crabs are at their tastiest, and chefs at Chinese restaurants are under pressure not only to serve up tasty versions of tried and true recipes.

They also need to to come up with new hairy crab recipes or new sources of hairy crabs in order to meet the high expectations of picky eaters.

Dutch Treat

Jacky Chan, Chef at Tsui Hang Village, turned to the unpolluted lakes of the Netherlands, where the hairy crabs have an extraordinary aroma as well as plump flesh and rich crab roe.

Now doesn’t that sound like a Dutch treat?
