Travel Gossip: Korean Air Orders 12 Boeing Twin Aisle Aircraft

Korean Air has ordered 12 more twin-aisle Boeing airplanes. The order includes five Boeing 747-8 Intercontinentals, six Boeing 777-300ERs, and one more 787 Boeing Dreamliner.

The new aircraft order is worth US$3.9 billion at current list prices.

“We are honored to partner with Korean Air once again to provide them with the most efficient twin-aisle airplanes in the market,” says Ray Conner, President and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

“With 90 Boeing passenger airplanes in Korean Air’s fleet and counting, we are proud our twin-aisle airplanes will continue to serve as the backbone of their long haul operations.”

Korean Air has a fleet of 90 Boeing passenger jetliners and 27 Boeing Freighters.
