Travel Gossip: Hotel Displays Artist’s 3D ‘Trick Art’ Scene in Lobby

Partnering with Hong Kong-born artist Alex Wong, Langham Place, Mongkok, Hong Kong, has launched its latest Art-in-Residence showcase, a Fine Effort Illustration spotlighting its latest 3D trick art street-style piece, LP ICE.



The illustration embraces bustling, downtown Mongkok with the contemporary Chinese sculpture, Materialist Series, by Wang Guangyi.


The illustration was unveiled on 5 November 2013. It will be on display in the lobby of Langham Place Hotel until 29 November 2013.


“Engaging our guests in new and creative ways is just one of the ways that Langham Place Hotel continues its vision to build great memories for guests,” says Shaun Campbell, General Manager of the hotel .


“Alex’s 3D art is a great way to bring out the city’s energetic essence and for our guests to be a part of it.”


Alex Wong is a Hong Kong-based artist with strong interests in print and contemporary art. After graduating from the University of Arts London, Alex joined Fine Effort Illustration in 2012.
