Travel Gossip: Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Makes Successful Test Flight

Boeing has completed its second test flight of a 787-9 Dreamliner. The airliner took off from Paine Field in Everett, Washington, on 7 November 2013, landing four hours and 18 minutes later at Boeing Field in Seattle, Washington.

The first Boeing 787-9 is scheduled for delivery to Air New Zealand in mid-2014. Twenty-six airlines and other customers have ordered 396 787-9s so far, accounting for 40% of all 787 orders.

The technologically advanced aircraft will set new standards for passenger comfort and fuel efficiency.
