Food and Beverage
As football fans descend on Australia for AFC Asian Cup 2015, there is more to do than root for their favourite side. What about eating? Football fans are spoiled for choice thanks to the country's dynamic food and beverage scene.
AFC Asian Cup 2015 kicks off on 10 January 2014 and runs through the end of the month.
Asia's top 16 football teams will compete in the tournament, the biggest event of its type ever to be held in Australia. Matches will be held in 5 different cities.
While there will be plenty for footballers and football fans to see and do in between football matches, Sydneysider and Socceroo Tim Cahill believes that eating will be one of the most popular activities.
Beach-going is one of the most popular leisure activities for Sydneysiders and tourists alike, and Sydney's top beaches – Bondi, Bronte, Congee, and Manly – offer some mouth-watering eats.
If I could recommend one activity that every visitor to Sydney should experience it would be enjoying fish and chips at any one of our beaches. Priceless,” Tim says.
“When I'm home, I like to go for a swim at my favourite beach, Cronulla, but my favourite place for an early morning run is Maroubra beach and steps."
