A self-confessed steak and burger freak opens a New York style steak and burger joint in the heart of Bangkok promising the best burgers and juiciest steaks in town. Will the Big Mango ever be the same?
“Steak Freak”, Khun Naalinlat, a.k.a. “Lisa”, has taken her New York Steak and Burger concept to the Big Mango.
“It’s quite a responsibility we have to steak and burger lovers,” Lina says.
“Steak houses make all sorts of claims that may or may not be true about the provenance of their meat.”
New York Style Steak & Burger is located in Park 222, a dining complex at Sukumvit 22. It serves what Lisa claims are “simply the best burgers and juiciest steaks done to perfection and priced to deliver real value, served in an ambiance of contemporary urban chic”.
Imported fresh beef is ground every day, a custom-made char-broiler is used, and all toppings, condiments, and sauces are made in-house using fresh and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
“All our USA steaks are USDA (US Department of Agriculture) Certified Angus Beef,” Lina says.
“Other labels may say Angus but only Certified Angus Beef, a brand established by the non-profit American Angus Assocation in 1978, has been inspected for quality and wholesomeness by the USDA and graded for quality and consistency.”
In addition to steaks and hamburgres, the restaurant serves chicken, salads, mouth-watering desserts, and a variety of fine wines.
