American Airlines will deploy its first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on the route between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) on 7 May 2015.

The airline will launch the airplane internationally on routes between Dallas/Fort Worth and Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) on 2 June.

The new aircraft will then be deployed on the route linking Dallas/Fort Worth with Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 4 June.

Because the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner consumes less fuel than other airliners in its class, it offers lower operating costs for airlines and leaves a smaller carbon footprint on the environment.

The airplane's cabin features larger windows, which are dimmable, higher cabin humidity levels, and improved sound quality.

All seats are equipped with universal AC power outlets and USB jacks. The aircraft is also equipped with satellite Wi-Fi capability.
