Korean Air upgrades its Business Class cabins with “Prestige Suites”, which feature lie-flat seats, privacy panels, and other enhancements. They will be deployed first on flights from Seoul to Hanoi, Guangzhou, and Singapore.
Korean Air is installing suites with lie-flat seats and more privacy in Business Class cabins. The first planes with them will be deployed on the Seoul to Guangzhou, China; Hanoi, Vietnam; and Singapore routes.
Korean Air has 6 Airbus A330-300s, 12 Boeing 777-300ERs (extended range), 10 Boeing 747-8s, and 10 Boeing787-9s on order. All 38 of them will be equipped with the new seats.
The armrest automatically slides down when the seat is fully reclined, adding an additional 2.5 inches for a total width of 22.5 inches.
Each seat also has a footstool, which serves a dual purpose. Either passengers can rest their feet on them or another passenger can sit on them for a chat.
The configuration of the seats has been designed to allow passengers by the window to be able reach the aisle without disturbing the passenger sitting along the aisle.
The pitch between the seats on the window side has been increased by 12 inches to 87 inches from the previous configuration.
Privacy panels along the aisle and between seats are another innovation. The Inflight entertainment system has also been upgraded. The airline also palns to upgrade its First Class cabins this year.

I’m not so sure I like the idea of allowing other passengers to sit on the footstools. That could prove a real annoyance for other passengers sitting nearby. Passengers wanting to chat should be encouraged to retire to the lounge.
