Jetstar Asia launches an on line 'Asia's Got Talent' contest on Facebook. A total of 30 winners and their loved ones will be flown by the airline to Singapore and put up in hotels so they can watch the show's finals in person.
As the official airline sponsor of Asia's Got Talent, Jetstar Asia will give away tickets to 30 winners and their loved ones to attend the finals of the the highly anticipated television show.
The contest is open to contestants in the following Southeast Asian countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
Winners will receive tickets to the show, airline tickets, and hotel accommodation in Singapore if they don't live there.
To enter, contestants should click on Jetstar Airways Asia and watch the current week's video featuring a selected Asia's Got Talent contestant and then answer 3 questions.
"With a different surprise element in each video, Jetstar aims to connect the five contestants with their families, and in doing so, provide greater moral support in their reach for stardom," a press release issued by the airline says.
"These aspiring superstars from across the region have worked very hard to put their best foot forward, and Jetstar is here to help them achieve their dreams."
In addition to winning tickets to attend the Asia's Got Talent finals in Singapore, the winners will also get flights on Jetstar. Accommodation will be provided to winners that don't live in Singapore.
The Got Talent franchise is a form of reality television – a.k.a. 'talent show' – that features singers, dancers, magicians, comedians, and other performers competiting for a top prize of one million US dollars.
The shows first aired in the mid-2000s in Britain and the United States. From Afganistan to Vietnam, offshoots of the popular TV show are now springing up around the world. None so far, however, in Zambia or Zimbabwe!
