The 2015 San Diego Padres FanFest will be held on Saturday 4 April at Petco Park. This year's FanFest is being held later than usual because of the construction of a new video board at the stadium.

There will be autograph opportunities with current and former baseball players and coaches, a garage sale to benefit the Padres Foundation, on field activities, and interactive forums, among other activities.

What will make this year's FanFest special is the addition of an exhibition game between the San Diego Padres and the Mexico City Red Devils.

"Padres FanFest will reach a new level of excitement in 2015 with the addition of an exhibition game against Mexico's most popular baseball team," says San Diego Padres President and CEO Mike Dee.

"Construction of the new video board necessitated pushing FanFest closer to the regular season, and we are excited that the stars aligned for this game to be part of the event. I'd like to thank Alfredo Harp Helu and the Diablos Rojos organization for their commitment to making this game happen."

The San Diego Padres have not played a Mexican baseball team in more than 30 years. This will be the first time for the San Diego Padres to a Mexican baseball team on US soil.

The San Diego Padres will play their Home Opener against the San Francisco Giants on 9 April 2015.

When and Where

From 9 am on Saturday 4 April 2015 at Petco Park, 100 Park Boulevard, San Diego, California. Seasons ticket holders can enter the park at 8 am. The exhibition game is scheduled to start at 2 pm.
