Following a complete overhaul of its rooms and public spaces, the Grand Hyatt Taipei, which first opened 25 years ago, will be re-launched on 23 April 2015. Renovation of its Western restaurant will begin later this year.
Twenty-five years after it opened as the first international 5-star hotel in Taiwan, the Grand Hyatt Taipei is set to re-open following a complete overhaul, which stripped the hotel down to its concrete core.
All of the hotel's 853 rooms and suites were stripped, redesigned, and rebuilt. Reflecting current design trends, bathrooms are now encased in marble.
“With this re-launch, in terms of rooms and restaurants, we’re now a brand new property,” says Kai Speth, the hotel’s General Manager.
“But with a 25 year history in this same location, we’re also the most seasoned hotel in the city. We’ve got the best of both worlds.”
The hotel will celebrate its re-launch on 23 April 2015.
