Etihad Airways spreads its wings to Hong Kong on 16 June 2015. Passengers will be able to transit at Abu Dhabi International Airport to travel destinations in Africa, the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.
Etihad Airways will spread its wings to Hong Kong International Airport on 16 June 2015, the airline’s 4th travel destination in Greater China. The route will link Hong Kong with the airline’s hub at Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
At Abu Dhabi, passengers can transfer to travel destinations throughout Africa, the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.
Hong Kong International Airport is already served by 2 Gulf air carriers: Emirates Airline, which links Hong Kong with Dubai, and Qatar Airways, which links the city with Doha.
From Dubai and Doha, airline passengers can transit to travel destinations throughout the 2 airlines’ vast global networks.
Etihad Airways already flies to Beijing, Chengdu, and Shanghai in Greater China. It has yet to launch flights to Macau or Taiwan.
Other East Asian and Southeast Asian travel destinations include Bangkok, Thailand; Ho Chi Minh City (a.k.a. Saigon), Vietnam; Jakarta, Indonesia; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Manila in the Philippines; Nagoya, Japan; Phuket, Thailand; Seoul, Korea; and Tokyo, Japan.
