Tribal Safari is the theme of this year's Spring/Summer Hong Kong Fashion Week, which runs from Monday 6 July to Thursday 9 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Exhibitors from around the world are showcasing their products and services at the prestigious event.
More than 1,200 exhibitors from more than 18 countries are showcasing their products and services at the 22nd annual Spring and Summer Hong Kong Fashion Week, which is being held from 6 through 9 July 2015 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Scarves, shoes, bridal gowns, handbags, evening wear, fashion jewellery, denin – these are among the many items of clothing and accessories on parade this week at Hong Kong Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015.
There are 8 group pavillions at the exhibition, the largest of which represents China. India, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand also have a major presence.
Highlights will include an all day Innovation and Technology Symposium on 7 July. Fashion Snoops will lead a seminar on Visionary Trends on 8 July. A total of almost 30 events will be held during the 4 day programme.
Included will be 6 house shows and 9 fashion parades as well as numerous, seminars, cocktail parties, and other networking events.
The works of emerging local designers were showcased on the first day of the event, whose theme this year is Tribal Safari.
Hong Kong Designers
Fashion designers based in Hong Kong have been gaining global recognition in recent years. Their fashions have been sold at such prestigious department stores as Bloomingdale's, Harrod's, Isetan, Macy's, Mitsukoshi, Neiman Marcus, and Seibu.
Take William Cheung, a graduate of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, who launched Koyo Jeans in 2003.
The brand has become popular throughout Asia as well as in Australia and Europe. There are franchised shops in Canada, China, France, and South Korea.
Hong Kong Fashion Week is organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
