As the Queen City gears up for the 2015 All-Star game, here are 10 must see and do things in the city that plays host to the first professional baseball team in the United States.
1. Root for the Cincinnati Reds
- Founded in 1881, the MLB: 2015 Cincinnati Reds
are the oldest professional baseball team in the United States. They compete in the Central Division of the National League. They have won the World Series 5 times: in 1919, 1940, 1975, 1976, and 1990 They play at the Great American Ball Park in downtown Cincinnati.
2. Visit the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum
- Located next to the Great American Ball Park, this fascinating museum is largest team hall of fame in Major League Baseball.
3. Root for the Cincinnati Bengals
- The Cincinnati Bengals compete n the North Division of the American Football Conference of the National Football League. Founded in 1967, they have won 8 division championships and 2 conference championship, but they have never won the Super Bowl. They play at Paul Brown Stadium in downtown Cincinnati.
4. Attend a race at the Kentucky Speedway
- Located in nearby Sparta, Kentucky, the Kentucky Speedway has a 1,600 foot backstretch, seats more than 100,000 fans, and has races taking place from July through October.
