Pandora's Box is an afternoon tea set menu served at the French Window in Hong Kong.

The French Window is a brasserie. Located in the ifc shopping mall in Central on Hong Kong Island, it has stunning views of Victoria Harbour.

Reflecting the growing popularity of afternoon tea in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong restaurant has launched its first afternoon tea set menu, which has both savoury and sweet components.

Called Pandora’s Box, the afternoon tea set is served in a black box with two layers: one for patisseries and one for pastries.

And whoever planned the menu must have overheard some of the comments made by food critics at many of the afternoon tea launches in recent months, who have  whispered to each other, "Where are the scones?"

Freshly baked scones served with clotted cream, blueberry jam, and strawberry jam are not a part of the set menu  (each chef wants to create something original). But they ARE available at an extra cost!

Kismi Tea

Afternoon tea is served with French label Kusmi tea, which was recently introduced to the Hong Kong market, freshly brewed coffee, or a selection of juices.

Sweet wines, sparkling plum sake, and two types of champagne are also available.

The Pandora’s Box Afternoon Tea is served Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Minimum: two persons.

The French Window is also open for lunch and dinner. Signature dishes include poached duck torchon, steamed mussels in white wine, coq au vin, and beef bourguignon. There is also a popular seafood on ice bar.

The French restaurant is considered by many foodies to be one of the best restaurants in Hong Kong.
