Swiss Hotel Group Opens Four Star Hotel in Central Sumatra

Swiss-Belhotel International has expanded its growing presence in Indonesia with the opening of a four-star hotel, the Swiss-Belhotel Jambi, in the province of Jambi in Central Sumatra.

The Swiss-Belhotel Jambi  is the first international hotel to open in Jambi, a city of 586,930 people on the Indonesian island of Sumatra.

Facilities at the hotel include a café and a rooftop food and beverage outlet, a swimming pool, a gym, a business centre, and a grand ballroom.

The ballroom has seven-metre high ceilings and is capable of hosting more than 1,200 guests. The hotel also has five meeting rooms.

The hotel has 136 rooms. Each one of the rooms measures at least 31 square metres.

The hotel is located in the city’s central business district. It is close to local attractions, shopping malls and food and beverage outlets.

Jambi is capital of Jambi province, which has a population of 3,412,459. It is located on the East Coast of Central Sumatra.

There are several temples in the province. The provincial administration is hoping to have the Muaro Jambi Temple site in Nari Sebo declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
