Flight Review: Cebu Pacific Air, Manila – Coron, Economy Class

Cebu Pacific Air is one of three airlines plying the Manila – Coron route. Several participants of TBEX Asia Pacific 2016 were flown to Coron on a familiarization trip to Northern Palawan.

Participants of Travel Blogger Exchange (TBEX) have pre-event tours of the host city and two days of professional development and networking events.

After the formal events are finished, they are entitled to familiarization trips to other parts of the host country.

TBEX Asia Pacific 2016 was held in Manila, capital of the Philippines. I was offered a four day, three night familiarization trip to Northern Palawan. My trip began with a one hour, 10 minute flight from Manila to Coron on Cebu Pacific Air.

Cebu Pacific Air is a budget carrier based in Manila. It flies to 36 domestic and 30 international travel destinations.

The airline has a fleet of Airbus XXX andAirbus XXX aircraft. The airline deploys ATR 72-500 aircraft on the Manila – Coron route.

The 72-500 are designed for short haul flights.They can land on and take off from relatively short runways.

Cebu Pacific’s ATR 72-500 have 72 seats in two plus two configuration. They have a pitch of 29 inches and a width of 17 inches.

The airline’s current fleet of eight ATR 73-500s will be doubled to 16 aircraft by 2021.
