Where to Stay

Omni Nashville Hotel overlooks the Country Music Hall of Fame in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
Many visiting sports fans stay at hotels and motels on the west side of the river because of their proximity to Nashville’s most important tourist attractions.

Because of bridges across the river, however, many of these hotels and motels are still only just a short walk from the stadium where the Tennessee Titans play.

Several hotels and motels are, in fact, within a seven to 30 minute walk of the stadium, including three on the East side of the river and 10 on the west side of the river.

Hotels and motels on the west side of the river are marked with a “W”. Those on the east side of the river are marked with an “E”.

Where to Eat

You won’t go hungry in Music City!

Nashville is best known for its creative musical scene, but chefs in Music City have a creative culinary bent, as well.

You can expect everything from down home Southern fare to mouth-watering barbecue.

For something distinctly Nashville, try “hot chicken” – which describes the spiciness of the seasoning rather than the temperature of the dish.

Or how about “meat and three”, which is served at cafeterias: a serving of meat with your choice of three side dishes.

Other local favouites include fried chicken, meatloaf, and mac and cheese. For dessert, don’t miss the banana pudding.

To find the perfect place to eat:

How to Get There

If you are driving to Nashville, three interstate highways run through the city.

  • I-65 connects Nashville with Louisville, Kentucky; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Chicago, Illinois, to the north and Birmingham, Montgomery, and Mobile Alabama, to the south.
  • I-40 connects  Nashville with Ashville, Knoxville, and Memphis, Tennessee;  Little Rock, Arkansas;  and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
  • I-24 connects Nashville with St. Louis, Missouri; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Atlanta, Georgia.
