Health + Fitness

Westin Hotels and Resorts launches physical fitness videos that can be watched in hotel rooms in Australia and Fiji as part of a global Let's Rise initiative to help travelers stay fit when they travel. Sports gear and jogging routes are also offered.

When people travel, they tend to eat more, drink more, and exercise less. Not only that, long flights and jet lag can take their toll.

Other issues include the temptation of hotel breakfast buffets, hotel gyms that aren’t as well equipped as the gyms we work out at in our home towns, and unfamiliarity with the surroundings.

It’s one thing to go jogging through your own neighborhood at home. But what happens when you’re staying in a concrete jungle like Hong Kong?

Let's Rise!

As part of a global Let’s Rise campaign, which was launched in January 2017, Westin Hotels and Resorts in Australia and Fiji have rolled out Let's Rise Workout Series that hotel guests can do in the privacy of their hotel rooms.

The HIIT workout programme was curated by Rachel Finch, a certified health coach, television presenter, and model.

Rachel also stars in the workout videos that will be available exclusively at Westin hotels and resorts in Australia and Fiji from 21 November 2017.

The workout series is designed to provide a full-body workout. There are six videos to choose from, including: two 15-minute full-body, HIIT work-outs; two eight-minute ab attacks; a short warm-up session; and a cool down and stretch routine.

The workouts can be performed in hotel guest rooms, and no special equipment is needed.

The series is available 24-hours-a-day in guestrooms at the following hotels …
