Oman

Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort adds an advanced mountain-climbing  experience to its list of mountaineering programmes, which are targeted at beginning, intermediate, and now advanced rock climbers!

Located atop Oman's Green Mountain, Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort is a full service hotel set amid spectacular scenery.

The rooms are comfortable, the food and beverage outlets are first rate, and there is a full service spa. There is, in fact, everything that you would expect of a five-star resort.

What makes this resort unique, however, is the Ultimate Jabal Activity Wall, which is one of the highest mountainerring routes in the Middle East.

In addition to a 90-minute mountain-climbing session targeted at beginning mountain climbers and a two hour mountain-climbing session targeted at intermediate mountain climbers, the hotel has now launched a more challenging mountain-climbing session targeted at experienced mountain climbers.

Not for the faint of heart, the newly launched bouldering course starts with a series of metal steps up the rock's vertical face. It continues across jagged rock formations,. ladders, and vertical stairs. It ends with two zip lines tht are suspended high across the canyon.

And just in case you get cold feet at any point, not to worry! There are numerous escape routes that will take you quickly to back level ground along the way.
