Last year’s Disney marathon broke  a record with close to 10,000 enrolled participants. Will more running enthusiasts (and Disney and Pixel fans) take part this year?

Many Disney•Pixar characters are household names to families in Hong Kong around the region. Their presence at the races will surely add considerable excitement to the event!

“Disney•Pixar stories and characters are an important part of the guest experience at our destinations around the world,” Samuel says.

“We are bringing more fun to this year’s 10K Weekend at Hong Kong Disneyland with strong character experiences from Disney•Pixar movies.”

Environmentally Friendly Practices

Runners taking part in the races can help save the environment with the support of NGO partners thanks to an on-site recycling programme for plastic water bottles, paper packaging, and other items.

Water dispensers will also be provided on site, and runners are encouraged to bring their own bottle.

NGO collaboration will also protect the environment by offsetting event-related greenhouse gas emissions, making the event carbon neutral.

The “10K Weekend” is a a great chance to enjoy a challenging, inspirational run while reconnecting with nature.

The race routes take runners through beautiful scenery with spectacular views and the one million beautiful trees and plants that dot the Disney resort.

Friends and family of participants are encouraged to dress up Disney attire and cheer them on at the Happiest Race on Earth!

The average high in November is a balmy 24 degree Celsius, or 75 degrees Fahrenheit, and the average low is a comfortable 19 degrees Celsius, or 66 degrees Fahrenheit.

Many flowers bloom in Hong Kong November so allergy sufferers should bring a dust mask or medication.
