Acupuncture in Phuket: all-villa resort on the Southern Thaisland is teaming up with an accredited acupuncturist and traditional Chinese medicine practitioner to promote healthy lifestyle changes in a peaceful yet luxurious environment.

Acupuncture in Phuket
Acupuncturist and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioner Dr. Rui Pedro Loureiro will offer wellness workshops at Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas on the Southern Thai island of Phuket. The program will be offered from 29 December 2019 to 18 January 2020.
Giving up smoking, epigenetic testing, holistic facial rejuvenation, cellulite reduction, joint pain, backaches, acne, arthritis, headaches, and migraines are among the ailments to be addressed.
Dr. Rui Pedro Loureiro is a licensed acupuncturist and TCM practitioner. He has had more than 20 years of clinical experience in Britain and Portugal.
Dr. Loureiro holds a Bachelor’s degree from Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine in China.
In addition, he has a postgraduate degree in Cosmetic Acupuncture from the London-based Chinese Medical Institute and Register (CMIR) by the AcuMedic Foundation and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
“I am looking forward to joining the team at Anantara Spa at Anantara Mai Khao Villas and bringing my expertise in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture to guests at Anantara and the island of Phuket,” Dr. Loureiro says.

Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas is a tranquil oasis in Southern Thailand. It is situated along a stretch of sandy beach in Northern Phuket.
Ninety-one pool villas surround a tropical lagoon. Villas range in size from 186 to 460 square meters. Each villa can sleep from three to six hotel guests.

- Infinity Bar overlooks the swimming pool. It serves light snacks, cocktails, fruit juice, and shakes by the pool.
- A beach club, private dining, and cooking classes round out the F&B offerings.
Facilities and Activities – Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas
The Anantara Spa offers a complete menu of spa treatments in tranquil surroundings.
The spa offers massages, body scrubs, body wraps, facials, and steam body rituals.
Other treatments include haircuts, waxing, manicures, and pedicures.
Facilities include six couple treatment suites, indoor and outdoor baths and rain showers, steam rooms, nail and hair salons, and a spa boutique.
There are daily yoga sessions on the beach. Other activities include Muay Thai and sailing lessons.
The resort can handle corporate events, weddings, yachting expeditions, and other activities.
