The Colorado Rockies are a professional baseball team in the United States. And the Rockies compete in the West division of the National League (NL) of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Firstly, the Rockies were established in 1993. And they were named after the Rocky Mountains, where the city of Denver is located.

The Colorado Rockies have never won a division championship. However, the Rockies have won a wild card berth five times. Most importantly, they won the National League pennant in 1993.

Unfortunately, the Rockies were swept by the Boston Red Sox of the American League, who won the best of seven series in four games.

The Colorado Rockies play home games at Coors Field in the Lower Downtown section of Denver, Colorado. In fact, it is two blocks from Union Station.

Because of Denver’s high elevation and low humidity, the stadium is known as a hitter’s park.

For this reason, the outfield fences are positioned further away from home plate than in other MLB parks.
