The Back Story

Each section of Italy has its own spin on pizza, and the Amalfi Coast is no exception. So what makes their pizzas unique?
Amalfitana pizzas are noted for their unique flavors, inventive toppings, and creative combinations.
BTW,, the Amalfi Coast is known as Costiera amalfitana or Costa d’Amalfi in Italian. Situated along the coast of Southern Italy, it overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Gulf of Salerno.
Amalfitana Artisan Pizza Bar Hong Kong – Overview

My buddies and I arrived at Repulse Bay, parked the car, and went out in search of a place to eat.
There is a strip mall at the far end of the beach called The Pulse. It houses both boutiques and 10 food and beverage establishments. Most of the F&B outlets on the ground floor have open-air shopfronts overlooking the beach.
After surveying the various menus, we settled on Amalfitana Artisan Pizza Bar Hong Kong, whose menu ranged from antipasti and fresh salads to artisan pizzas inspired by the pizzas of the Amalfi Coast of Southern Italy.
The restaurant had an informal layout with casual seating and a very chill vibe. There is another outlet in Central, with a similar menu. They were the brainchild of Italian born Chef Michel Degli Agosti, who trained as a Pizzaiolo in Italy and London.
Our Dinner at Amalfitana Artisan Pizza Bar Hong Kong
There were 20 artisan pizzas to choose from. and we tried two of them. Since one of us was driving, we decided to skip the beer or the wine and opt for a non-alcoholic beverage instead.
Napoli Pizza

The Napoli Pizza arrived first. Its topping consisted of tomato, mozzarella, anchovies, capers, black olives, and oregano. Great if you like anchovies.!
Buonissima!
Salsiccia e Porcini Pizza

The topping of the Salsiccia e Porcini Pizza consisted of tomato, mozzarella, sausage, and porcini mushrooms. It was absolutely exquisite!
Squisia!
 Summer Punch

The Summer Punch arrived in a large glass jug with an artistic topping of fruit, which made it challenging to pour.
Consisting of Cranberry Juice, Fresh Passion Fruit, Fresh Raspberries, Fresh Lemon Juice, Passionfruit Syrup, and Ginger Ale, it was both refreshing and delicious!
Fantastico!
The Verdict
Once upon a time, it was next to impossible to find decent Italian food in Hong Kong, but those days are long gone.
Amalfitana Artisan Pizza Bar Hong Kong is a case in point. The crusts were rustic, and the toppings were simple but absolutely delicious.

Of the two pizzas I tried, I liked the Salsiccia e Porcini Pizza best. The crust was rustic and the topping was simple but packed with flavor. I found the Napoli Pizza a little too salty for my taste. But some people might like that.
If you have a hankering for an authentic Italian pizza, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by this artisan pizza bar. I can’t wait to go back.
I give the Repulse Bay Amalfitana Artisan Pizza Bar an enthusiastic two thumbs up!

Good Italian food in Hong Kong? I would never have thought to look for that!! It does look delicious!
There has been a growing number of Italian restaurants in recent years, many of them opened by Italian “transplants,” so they are quite good.
We were just having a discussion about Napoli pizza being my family’s favorite, but trying this in Hong Kong sounds great!
I discovered another pizzeria in Hong Kong a couple of years ago. I got in touch with the owner. As it turned out, he was from Naples. When I sampled the pizza, but first comment was, “I feel like I’m trying pizza for this first time. Here’s my review: https://accidentaltravelwriter.com/little-napoli-pizzeria-hong-kong/
That Salsiccia e Porcini Pizza looks amazing. I’m officially starving after reading this post!
