Britain: NoCal Fan Gets Warm Welcome in the Capital of Cool!

American Football

A fan in the far reaches of Northern California makes his first trip to London to root for the Raiders. He is overwhelmed by the enthusiastic Silver and Black welcome he gets in the Capital of Cool.

Terry Scott of Crescent City, California, has seasons tickets to the Oakland Raiders, attending home games at the Black Hole.

And in case you don’t know where Crescent City is, it is hardly a hop, skip, and a jump from Oakland. An Oakland suburb it most certainly is not.

With a distance of 359 miles, the drive from Crescent City to Oakland takes more than 6 hours – each way!!!

Crossing the Pond

But if the die-hard Raider fan makes frequent – and lengthy – trips South to Oaktown several times a year, it is his first time across the Atlantic.

And he has been overwhelmed by the enthusiastic Silver and Black welcome he has received in what the Brits like to call ‘The Capital of Cool’!

“I have received NOTHING BUT GREAT comments from Londoners,” Terry says.

“So many folks we have met along the way are AMAZED at the level of dedication we display to our team! Many have been very helpful in information relating to getting around. It has been a great trip so far!”
