Medical Tourism

People travel to other countries for medical treatments for many reasons, sometimes crossing borders for drugs or medical therapies because of lower costs or because they think the treatments are better.

Lower labour costs can also result in a much higher care-giver to patient ratio.

Sometimes the waiting lists for medical treatments in their own countries are too long.

Other people engage in medical travel because the treatments they want or need are not available in their own country.

Sometimes the medical treatments they seek are not legal in their own country.

The list goes on.
