Hotel Review: Blue Waters Hotel in Wadduwa Fronts the Indian Ocean

Sri Lanka Travelogue Part 6

Michael Taylor embarks on his first trip to Sri Lanka, which was formerly known as Ceylon. He is flown there on Singapore Airlines by the Dilmah School of Tea. He enrolls in a five module certificate course in the Appreciation of Tea.

Following breakfast, we check out of the Grand Hotel in Nuwara Eliya and head back to the coast by way of Kandy.

Along the way we lunch at Earls Regency. We arrive at the Blue Water Wadduwa at about 6 pm. We have dinner at the hotel.

The Blue Water Wadduwa is a five star hotel overlooking the Indian Ocean. Nestled amid groves of coconut palms, it is located 27 kilometres from Colombo, the nations’ capital.

The tropically landscaped grounds are scattered with ponds, fountains, and waterways.

The Blue Water Wadduwa has a 24 hour coffee shop and the Admiral’s Room, which offers fine dining in relaxed surroundings.

There is a nightclub, a spa, and all of the other facilities you would expect at a five star hotel.

This place rocks! What a shame we couldn’t spend a second night here!
