Macau: 62nd Annual Grand Prix Revs Up for 19 – 22 November 2015

Hundreds of racing drivers from 31 countries and territories will compete in the 62 Annual Macau Grand Prix, including 59 local drivers. It will be held in the streets of Macau from 19 to 22 November.

The Macau Grand Prix is held each year during the 3rd weekend of November along the Guia Circuit. Both car and motorcycle races are held.

A total of 231 drivers from 31 countries, including 59 local drivers, will compete in the 62nd Annual Macau Grand Prix. It will be held from 19 to 22 November 2015.

Counted among them will be some of the world’s best drivers, including many world champions.

The Guia Circuit is 6.2 kilometres in length, or 3.8 miles, with a minimum width of 7 metres, or 22.8 feet.

Considered one of the world’s most demanding courses, the Guia Circuit combines long, fast straights – where speeds of up to 171 miles per hour and can reached – with sharply twisting corners.

Practice and qualifying runs are held the first 2 days of the event, with races being held on the final 2 days.

One of the highlights of the event is the Macau Formula Three Grand Prix, which attracts some of the world’s top drivers, including many champions.

The winner of the Macau Formula Three Grand Prix is awarded the FIA Formula 3 Intercontinental Cup.

Now in 62nd year, the Macau Grand Prix was held in 1954.
