he Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa, Phuket, opened in August 2010. It is the first Westin resort to open in Thailand. Located on Siray Island off Phuket’s east coast, the entire resort overlooks picturesque Siray Bay and boasts a beach with direct access.

Location

Siray Island is connected to the Phuket mainland via a bridge. It is an eight minute drive from Phuket town, a 45-minute drive from Phuket International Airport, and a short boat ride from a cluster of world renowned islands including Phi Phi, James Bond, Similan, and Maya islands, which are famous for their white sandy beaches, pristine waters, and abundant marine life.

There are 259 guest rooms, suites, and villas with small pools. All have ocean views and spacious outdoor balconies. There is a spa, six restaurants and bars, three outdoor pools, a Westin Kids Club®, a business center, and six meeting rooms.

Up Close and Personal

I spent four nights at the Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa during my recent visit to Phuket. I was put up a very spacious two bedroom suite, which was very intelligently laid out. There was a wet bar with a refrigerator and coffee maker, a formal dining area, and a spacious media centre.

Food options ran from Italian to light snacks to Southeast Asian. There were nightly theme nights for added variety.

What I liked most were the many, many activities that were on offer, and most of them were offered free of charge.

There were daily yoga or pilates sessions on the beach, windsurfing lessons, Thai kickboxing lessons, volleyball – the list goes on.

  1. Hi!!!!Patong is a great place to shop, you have a really cool shppiong centre called jungceylon, that has tonnes to do there and you have to see the water ship show while your there, not sure of the times but you can check when there. There are stalls and small markets everywhere selling all kinds, just remember to barter well, as they often charge 4x the price they want lol. Remember if they are not happy with a price and not going to make any money then they wont sell :pNov/Dec time is the best time to visit, and the similan islands are open, one of the best places to visit in the world, you have no excuse not to go, .. You can get a day island hopping with lunch and drinks for 2000 bht p.p. it takes a while in the bus to get to the pier, but will leave you with unforgettable memories ben there everytime i went to thailand Also there is the usual phi phi isalnd, krabi, ko lanta, coral island is good too, it has a great beach and tonnes of fish . For the perfect phuket experience, try a night camping on bamboo island, there will proberly be no one else there other than the rangers and a few fisherman . It’s expensive from phuket, but barter . and you will get a good deal Try a evening show at fantasea, it was ok but i thought it must be cruel for the elephants, and also the simon cabaret .was the 3rd time i was in phuket before i went, but really enjoyed it. Try a day trip white water rafting with the A.V. option, leaves you pretty tird, but good fun .. The fact is your options are limitless, and one time in phuket, will never be enough :p Enjoy!! i have many times
