wheel2wheel live the dream

A Bon Voyage Rock Concert for Morgan Parker will be held tonight (Friday 25 February 2011) at Grappa’s Cellar in Jardine House in Central in downtown Hong Kong.

Confirmed performers for the evening are the funk crunching metal band Gong Wu, indie folk pop band Noughts & Exes, and expat rock bands Absolut Crap, Donner und Blitzen, and Uranus. DJ K-Ling will be spinning, and there is rumor of a special guest performance by Nicole Russo, formally of the Brand New Heavies.

“Wheel2Wheel has been a colossal undertaking for us as a team,” says fellow Wheel2Wheel team member Paige Sinclair. “We are looking forward to celebrating with our friends and supporters with this amazing fund raising event and great live music as we bid farewell to Morgan.”

Epic Journey to Raise Funds for Charity

As reported in the Accidental Travel Writer on 1 March 2011 Hong Kong’s Morgan Parker to Embark on 20,000 Kilometre Motorcycle Expedition for Charity, Morgan will embark on a 20,000 kilometre journey from Hong Kong, where he is based, to his home town of Brisbane, Australia. He will pass through 10 countries on the epic journey. A carefully selected charity in each country will benefit from the funds Wheel2Wheel raises.

The event will not only serve as a farewell extravaganza before the expedition starts four days later. It will also serve as an important fund raising initiative to bring awareness and financial assistance to the 10 charitable organizations that Wheel2Wheel supports.

Wheel2Wheel is a self-funded expedition. As a result, fully 100% of all of the proceeds raised from the evening will be passed directly to the 10 carefully selected charitable organizations. Other fund raising initiatives will include the Own-a-km campaign.

Wheel2Wheel is an innovative independent non-profit organization launched by Hong Kong based Morgan Parker to raise awareness and provide financial assistance to brilliant yet under recognized charitable organizations throughout Australasia.
