Brooklyn Nets Team History

The Brooklyn Nets are a professional basketball team playing in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

The team plays home games at Barclays Center, a multipurpose indoor sports facility located in downtown Brooklyn, one of the five boroughs of New York City.

In addition, it also hosts other sporting events as well as concerts and other types of entertainment.

The Nets were founded in 1967 as the New Jersey Americans, playing in the American Basketball Association (ABA). They became the New York Nets the following season, playing home games in Long Island. They moved from the ABA to the NBA in 1976.

The basketball team moved back to New Jersey in 1977 and played as the New Jersey Nets until 2012. They moved to Brooklyn in 2012.

The Nets have won five division titles, two conference titles, and championships in 1974 and 1976. They have never won an NBA championship.
