Hong Kong: Hotel Restaurant in Mongkok Gets a Makeover

The Place at Langham Place, Mongkok, Hong Kong, reopens following a 2 month makeover with buffets, an ala carte menu, a wellness afternoon tea, and all-new grab and go choices for travellers in a rush.

Just off the lobby of the Langham Place, Mongkok, Hong Kong, The Place has re-opened with a new look and a new concept.

The 8,600 square foot all-day restaurant features several buffet stations serving everything from fresh seafood to salads, appetisers, hot dishes, dim sum, barbecued meats, sushi, sashimi – the list goes on.

Make sure to leave room for dessert! The dessert station serves single origin chocolate from 6 different countries as well as baked Alaska, eclairs, fresh churros, crepes, lava cake, and souffles.

Diners can also order off the ala carte menu or grab some takeaway from the Grab and Go Fridge.

Wellness Afternoon Tea

In response to the growing concern for health, the restaurant has launched a wellness afternoon tea, which is served on weekdays featuring sandwiches, freshly squeezed juices, and organic teas.

An afternoon tea buffet is served on weekends.

“Redesigning one of the group's most popular restaurants has allowed us to freshen and refine our product and offer both delicious and sustainable options," says Elaine Joe, Executive Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage, Langham Place, Mongkok, Hong Kong.

"As one of the city's favourite all-day-dining restaurants in town, diners have the choice of quality creative buffets, à la carte favourites, homemade afternoon teas and boutique grab and go drinks to choose from."

The hotel also has a fine dining Cantonese restaurant, a Japanese robatayaki and sushi bar, a wine bar, and an outdoor lounge.

The hotel is within walking distance of the Mongkok MTR station, Temple Street, and the Ladies Market.

The hotel is a short taxi ride from Hung Hom Station, Kowloon Station, the Star Ferry, Ocean Terminal, Tsim Sha Tsui, Canton Road, and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
