July – a good time to visit Sweden? Sweden in July means balmy weather and long days. And there are usually many outdoor events. However, because of the pandemic, many celebrations will be scaled back or postponed till 2022. And a few have been canceled.
Sweden in July – Events
July is Sweden’s loveliest month. While the days aren’t quite as long as June’s, July’s temps are the warmest of the year.
Because of the balmy weather, boating, camping, sunbathing, swimming, and hiking are all popular activities in July.
And most years, several outdoor festivals and concerts are held in cities and towns across the country.
Unfortunately, many events have been canceled in 2021. And others have been postponed until next year.
Therefore, check the dates carefully because some of the events listed are for 2022 rather than 2021.
Lolapalooza Stockholm – 1 to 3 July 2022

Lollapalooza is an international music event that was launched in Chicago, Illinois, in 1991.
In addition to the United States, the music festival has been staged in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, France, and Germany.
If the pandemic is brought under control, Lollapalooza will be staged in Sweden for the first time in 2022 at Lalapalooza Stockholm.
And more than 70 artists will perform across four stages in Gärdet.
In addition to music, Lollapalooza will offer a mind-blowing selection of food and drink. For example, more than 40 restaurants will serve mouth-watering bites at several venues in the park.
In addition, there will be special sections for wine and beer. So you won’t go thirsty!
Furthermore, Kidzapalooza will offer entertainment and activities for families with children.
To clarify, Gärdet is a park in the middle of Stockholm. And it is a five-minute walk from Karlaplan, the closest metro station. In addition, it is a 25-minute walk from Stockholm Central Station.

Karlshamn Baltic Festival – Postponed to 2022
Unfortunately, the Baltic Sea Festival has been canceled for the second year running.
However, if the pandemic subsides, there might be some smaller-scale events. But they will not be conducted under the Baltic Sea Festival flag.
Falsterbo Horse Show – 10 to 18 July 2021
The focus of this year’s Falsterbo Horse Show will be completely on the sport.
So there won’t be the usual fan activities. For example, there will be no fan village.
And for this reason, organizers are calling it the Falsterbo Horse Show Sport Edition.
Firstly, the Show will open with three days of dressage, from ponies and Folksam Open to Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle at the national level.
And all events will take place at the dressage arena from Saturday 10 July to Monday 12 July.
Secondly, from Wednesday 14 July to Sunday 18 July, there will be show jumping at the International Arena with six international CSI3 competitions.
And the Agria Falsterbo Derby and Falsterbo Grand Prix will be included.
Finally, there will be finals for Folksam Elitallsvenska and 7-Star, Folksam Open, as well as the Pony and Young Rider Grand Prix.
Peace and Love Festival – Cancelled
Unfortunately, the festival was declared bankrupt in 2020. So will it be resurrected next year?

Unfortunately, the Stockholm International Jazz and Blues Festival has been canceled. No word if there will be one in 2022.
Gotland Runt Offshore Race – 2 to 8 July 2021
Approximately 200 boats will depart from the centre of Stockholm on 4 July 2021. In fact, it is the world’s largest offshore race!
Firstly, they will sail out through the Archipelago and around the island of Gotland. And they will finish in the classic KSSS sailing port of Sandhamn.
