Aava Resort and Spa held its grand opening earlier this month with a grand reception.
This was followed by a formal dinner party in the hotel's dining room.
There was live music and fire juggling. The party lasted until dawn, when fireworks were set off in the skies over Nadan Beach.
The ambassador from Finnland to Thailand Mrs Sirpa Maenpaa and government officials from Nakhon Si Thammaarat province as well as other local officials and foreign dignitaries were in attendance.
The event was hosted by owners Atte Savisalo and his lovely wife Kati, who was dressed to the nines for the occasion.
The first Finnish owned and operated hotel in Thailand, Aava is situated on Nadan Beach in Khanon, which is located in Southern Thailand. It has 28 bungalos, a fine dining restaurant, an informal pizzarria and bakery, and a spa with – you guessed it! – Thailand's first Finnish sauna.
