Discover Mu Cang Chai
Mu Cang Chai is one of Vietnam’s best-kept secrets. Located in Yen Bai province, it is approximately 300 kilometers northwest of Hanoi, the nation’s capital. The trip by car takes about six to seven hours.
With its mountainous emerald landscape and manicured rice paddies, many seasoned travelers have described Mu Cang Cha as one of the most beautiful places in Southeast Asia, if not the world.
In addition to its stunningly beautiful terraced rice paddies are bamboo forests and ethnic villages. Many Hmong reside in the area, and their cultural influence is strong.

This looks like a beautiful resort–so convenient to the rice paddies and bamboo forest too, which we’d love to visit.
