The lobby lounge at one of Hong Kong’s trendiest hotels has launched cookie hot shots, edible cookie shooters with vanilla-infused milk. Not only are they tasty and crunchy – think about the great selfies you can take to post on Instagram!
Who doesn’t like milk and cookies? Well, what about milk IN a cookie?
Hot Shots are now being served at Coco, the café-patisserie at The Mira Hong Kong, which is located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui along Kowloon’s world-famous Golden Mile.
The Hot Shots set includes six freshly baked, hand-crafted cookie shooters made with single origin 55% cocoa dark chocolate chips.
The chocolate chips are made out of the finest cocoa beans from Ghana, creating beautifully balanced, well-toasted flavor in the moist, dense cookie crust.
Meanwhile, the milk comes from the Northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, which is noted for its pristine dairy farms. The milk is infused with vanilla seeds from a tropical climbing orchid plant from French Polynesia.
Individual Hot Shots served with vanilla-infused milk are served in the lobby lounge daily from 8 am to 8 pm. They cost HK$38 per piece or HK$198 for six pieces. Take-away sets are coming soon.

In keeping with current trends, there’s more to Hot Shots than great taste and texture. Think of what a great prop they will make for selfies!
“The Hot Shots are set to become popular with the 21st century families who understand that capturing a precious moment with the little ones isn’t just for the family albums, but for the whole world to see, thanks to Instagram,” says Chef Rick Chan, Pastry Chef at The Mira Hong Kong.
“Perfect for a short but sweet celebration, they may become the best alternative to cutting a cake or toasting with bubbly.”
Those wanting something stronger might want to consider pairing the delectable treats with an alcoholic beverage. Bailey’s Irish Cream, perhaps?
“For adults-only parties, you may try to experiment with blending in some Irish cream or coffee liqueur into the milk to spike the cookie shots,” Chef Rick says.
Coco 101
Located in the lobby of the Mira Hong Kong, Coco is a café-patisserie serving designer cakes, freshly-baked pastries, custom-made cakes, and artisan chocolates, which are washed down with signature coffees.
The Mira Hong Kong has 492 guest rooms, including a collection of 56 suites and specialty suites. The hotel overlooks Kowloon Park in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, one of Hong Kong’s most popular districts with tourists.
